So, my husband and I went on our date last weekend and we went… (Drum roll please)… ICE Skating! Here’s the link https://1ofgodsfavorites.com/i-asked-my-husband-out-on-a-date/ to my last post explaining where this idea came from. My husband is an easy going guy but he probably would have preferred going to the movies. Something that he mentioned a couple of times when we were preparing to leave to go ice skating. I have to admit, I almost talked myself out of going. I really just wanted to lay around the house and relax with the family. BUT I really want to invest in our one on one time and the movies wouldn’t have been a productive choice since we would be just looking at a screen and not talking. After slightly prying him from the TV, we headed out on our day date.
The entry fee was $10.00 per person for a maximum of two hours. And believe it or not, that was plenty of time for us. There weren’t a lot of people on the ice when we first arrived but it started to pick up by the time we were leaving. And as you can imagine, people were dropping like flies on that ice! If you plan on going this season, I would suggest wearing gloves just in case you fall. And ofcourse wear something to keep you warm. I was quite toasty and even had to unzip my jacket once of twice. Oh and definitely leave your pride to the side because that ice has NO respect for people. Lol. Ofcourse it’s family friendly and so there were ton of fearless children there.
After we were finished skating, we left for dessert at Baskin Robbins and spent less that $10.00 total. I had the traditional ice cream cone and ofcourse James had to order something that took a little longer to make.
And there you have it. $30.00 spent and we had such a nice time just hanging out and skating! And the best part about the date… neither one of us fell! Which is a win, win for us. I’m putting together a vlog of our time on the ice and getting dessert, so be on the lookout for that. James gets to pick what we do next month and he already told me that he wants to go bowling. And I’m almost embarrassed to say that we haven’t been bowling in yearssss as well. But starting in January, we will be going out and doing things that neither of us have done. And the exciting part about that is our social media friends get to choose what we will do. I’ll tell more about this when it’s almost time!
So until then please remember to live your life to the absolute fullest. I surely intend to! Blessings!

Cheaper than a movie with more quality time which is the most important thing.
